Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
9signal (“9signal”, “we”, “us”) is a marketing management platform for businesses. [LEGAL ENTITY DETAILS TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE COMMERCIAL LAUNCH]
Questions about this policy or your information: support@9signal.ai.
2. Scope
This policy explains how we handle information when businesses and their authorized users use the 9signal platform, and when you connect third-party accounts to it. 9signal is a business-to-business service.
3. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, sign-in credentials (managed by our authentication provider), your role and your company membership.
- Company information you provide: business profile and setup details, products and services, competitors, marketing channels and pages, goals, KPIs, plans, tasks, content, campaigns, approvals, and files and images you upload or generate.
- Connected-account data: performance metrics from accounts you choose to connect (see sections 5 and 6), and the authorization credential needed to keep each connection working.
- Publishing data: when you publish to a connected Facebook Page, the content, schedule and publishing status.
- Activity and technical records: audit and activity records (for example changes, approvals, synchronization and AI activity), email delivery records, and service logs used for security and reliability.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service; to show your company’s reports, plans and performance; to generate AI-assisted content, research and analysis that you request; to publish content you approve to channels you authorize; to send service emails such as invitations and password resets; and to comply with the law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
5. Connected Google accounts
When you connect a Google account, 9signal accesses only the data needed for the features you turn on:
- Google Search Console: search performance (clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position) for the properties you select.
- Google Analytics: reporting metrics (sessions, users, engagement, page views, events, conversions and, where configured in your property, revenue) for the properties you select.
- YouTube: channel analytics and statistics (views, watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained and lost) for the channel you select.
We use this data only to show your company’s performance reports, to support your plans, goals and KPIs, and to generate AI-assisted analysis for your team inside 9signal. We store the resulting daily metrics in our database and keep the Google authorization credential in an encrypted secrets vault. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. We do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
9signal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Ads
Where Google Ads is available and your company chooses to connect it, Google does not offer a read-only permission: the permission Google displays allows broader access to the Google Ads account. 9signal’s current implementation uses Google Ads data for reporting only and does not make changes to your Google Ads account.
6. YouTube
9signal uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to 9signal, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
We access the analytics and statistics of the channel you select, store them while your authorization remains valid, and make them visible to the authorized members of your company in 9signal. You can revoke 9signal’s access to your Google account, including YouTube, at any time on the Google security settings page.
7. AI-assisted processing
9signal’s AI features (including the assistant “Nine”, content and image generation, and company research) are provided using a third-party AI service provider, currently OpenAI. To answer a request, we send the provider the information needed for that request — for example your instructions, relevant company and campaign information and, where you have connected accounts, relevant performance metrics. 9signal does not use your data, or Google user data, to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Content is published only after a person in your company reviews and confirms it.
8. Service providers
We use service providers to run 9signal. They process data on our behalf to provide the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, encrypted secrets vault and server functions;
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery;
- OpenAI — AI processing;
- Resend — service email delivery;
- Google and Meta — when you connect those accounts, we exchange data with their APIs to provide the features you use;
- Google Fonts and content delivery networks used to load the website, which may receive your IP address.
9. Storage and security
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider. Access is restricted by company membership and role. Third-party authorization credentials are kept in an encrypted secrets vault rather than in ordinary application records, and connections to the service use encrypted transport. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data with reasonable safeguards.
10. Retention
We keep your company’s information while your account is active. Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Ads metrics that have already been collected are kept while your account is active, including after you disconnect that account, unless you ask us to delete them. When you disconnect YouTube in 9signal, we delete the YouTube channel data and statistics we collected from that channel. If YouTube access is revoked in your Google Account or can no longer be refreshed, we delete stored YouTube data in line with YouTube’s requirements. Some records may be kept where required for security, legal or audit purposes.
11. Your choices
- Disconnect a connected account in 9signal. This stops future synchronization from that account. For Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Ads it also deletes the authorization credential 9signal stored; for YouTube it deletes the channel data and statistics 9signal collected, and the credential is deleted once 9signal’s access has been removed on Google’s side.
- Revoke 9signal’s Google access at any time in your Google Account.
- Request deletion as described on our Data Deletion page.
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact support@9signal.ai.
12. Browser storage and cookies
9signal uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
13. Age requirement
9signal is intended for business use by people aged 18 or older. It is not directed at children.
14. Changes
We will post any updates on this page and change the effective date above.
